Interactive entertainment and gamemaker giant Atari is venturing into something different but at the same time, a bit familiar to them. They are launching a new fitness app that will combine the features that have made exercising and maintaining a healthy lifestyle a breeze and at the same time, challenging consumers to get to the next level by introducing gamification into your lifestyle.
Atari Fit has over 100 exercises, more than 30 workout plans and programs that can be customized depending on your fitness needs and preferences. It caters not just to fitness enthusiasts, but even those who are just starting to embark on a healthy lifestyle. But what makes this different from other health apps is that it gives incentives to users by letting you accumulate points. Aside from getting healthier, the points will let you unlock fan-favorite Atari games like Pong®, Super Breakout®, and Centipede®.
And lest you think you’d need to give up your wearables or other fitness apps, it’s actually compatible with a lot of them and can actually work with them. If you use Fitbit, Jawbone, and Android Wear smartwatches, then you can use it with the app. And if you get data from other fitness apps like RunKeeper, Apple Health, and Google Fit, you can also aggregate the data to Atari Fit. They are also working with other real-world companies like Walgreens to give you tangible rewards, like earning points for your Balance Rewards loyalty program.
You can use Atari Fit by yourself and also through a collaborative mode with your friends, because sometimes, exercising is a group effort. You can either be competitive with each other or join a team to help you work out. You can download Atari Fit from the Google Play Store for free.
