As the countdown to the official release of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge gets nearer and nearer, the OEM has also been announcing their partnerships with designers for various accessories that can enhance the soon-to-be-yours smartphones, even just in terms of design. The latest one to be revealed is the Rich Accessory Collection, featuring five collaborations with known luxury brands, ranging from pop artists to handbag designers.
This collection is still part of their Designed for Samsung Program that has ” enhanced the brand’s abilities to work with partners to introduce such a broad range of accessories with the new products’ launch.” The five partners for the Rich Accessory Collection are Burton, Swarovski, Montblanc, Rebecca Minkoff, and Romero Britto. Burton brings protective covers that have two of their most popular print designs. Swarovski has long been collaborating with Samsung and the new crystal-embellished covers for the two new smartphones reflects different shades of glass (not grey).
Meanwhile, Montblanc is bringing leather cases and flip covers to the collection, all the way from their local manufacturing factory in Italy. Rebecca Minkoff contributes dainty and elegant flower prints for the protective covers and leather pouches fit for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Lastly, Romero Britto is a first-time collaborator with Samsung, bringing his “vibrant colors and expressive imagery” to a host of new accessories.
The accessories for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will be available on the Samsung Retail Store as well as selected retail locations by the time the smartphones launch this coming next month (or rather, in just a few weeks).
