Google Docs app for Android

Google Docs on mobile has always been limited. And since the mobile market is demanding for more mobile functions, features, and services these days, Google has decided to update the app by allowing users to easily view and edit a document. Even when you’re on the go, you can edit a document you’ve been working on whether for school or work. The app has been useful for reading and reviewing a document but editing has not always been easy. This time, you can edit the document by tapping twice the blue pencil icon you see on the bottom right of the page.

An on-screen keyboard will automatically appear when you double tap the pencil icon and you’re free to make corrections. With the Google Docs app, you can create and even collaborate with others on documents right on your Android device. You can share docs and work on them with your colleagues at the same time.

Even when you are offline and have no internet connection, you can still open and edit documents. Changes will be saved on the web once you go online. While typing, document is saved automatically but only locally so there is no need to worry about losing work.

As with most updated apps, Google made some more performance improvements and bug fixes on Google Docs and also added an “insert links” function.

  1. Hopefully this doesn’t suck as bad as Google Keep, which has the capacity of a thimble.

Google, text data is tiny. Why is Keep only able to store a page of text?!?
