Who knew that colored beams could actually be dangerous to your health? We’re speaking digitally and mentally of course. A new Android game will test not just your shape and color coordination but also help you make the correct decision on whether or not to actually fulfill the game’s goal if it means creating something that can destroy others. Again, this is speaking digitally and not actual destruction. Are you ready to play Beam?

The instructions seem simple enough. Each level has a goal for you, like “Form 1 purple beam” or “Form 2 blue beams”. You move and slide several discs around to be able to form beams, but also destroy them if they become too dangerous. Beams are formed when pieces of the same color line up. However, as we mentioned, these beams will also destroy those pieces that will have to pass through them. So now you’ll have to figure out a way on how to get your goal without having the beam obliterate everything in its way.

Beam has over 70 hand-crafted levels where you can earn stars as you try to solve them. You also get to unlock new worlds the more you solve the puzzles. There is no specific order on what levels you have to solve first so if you’re stuck in one, you can always go and solve another one. There is also a bonus level in every world, to pose a challenge to you even if you’ve solved all the puzzles.

Beam can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. Everything is absolutely free and there are no in-app purchases available.
