If you’ve been a fan of OnePlus and their unique way of marketing their smartphones (by invite only), then it must have been a tad frustrating if you wanted to try it out but you didn’t live in a country where it was available. But now, if you live in a European Union country (other than the major ones), your luck is about to change as the Chinese OEM announced they will be expanding their reach to include 16 more countries in Europe.
So now if you live in any of these countries, a OnePlus is coming near you!
* Bulgaria
* Croatia
* Cyprus
* Czech Republic
* Estonia
* Greece
* Hungary
* Ireland
* Latvia
* Lithuania
* Luxembourg
* Malta
* Poland
* Romania
* Slovakia
* Slovenia
Now as to the details of when it will happen exactly, OnePlus did not specify it. They will however have special launch events in Warsaw (March 9), Prague (March 10), and Budapest (March 12).
OnePlus’ Global Director and co-founder Carl Pei meanwhile told a tech website that they will also be expanding in terms of product category. He hinted that they will be announcing a new product next month, but it is not a tablet or a smartwatch. It will also not be the OnePlus Two, since that has already been scheduled to launch in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year. Speculation is rife now as to what this product will be, with some saying it can be a fitness tracker, an action camera, Bluetooth speakers, etc.
Aside from the fact that you cannot buy it anywhere and you have to wait for an invite to actually purchase the OnePlus One, they have also been in the news lately for coming up with their own OS called OxygenOS. Maybe the new product may have something to do with this, or maybe it is something new altogether that they haven’t tried yet.
