With all the TV shows and movies that you’re watching (or even binge-watching), it’s sometimes gets hard to keep track of all of them like when there’s a new episode or when the next special will be. Unless you’re a really organized person who keeps a calendar or list of such things, you’d have to rely on apps to remind you of when and how to watch these videos. But it would be much easier to have this reminder on the streaming service where you watch it right?
If you’re on Hulu, then tracking these things will supposedly become easier with their new feature called Watchlist. While they currently have such features as Queue, Favorites, and Shows You Watch (pretty self-explanatory), the process will now become simpler and more accessible as all three will be combined in Watchlist. If you have a show or video that you’d like to watch later, just add it to Watchlist. When you start watching a new show, future episodes will be added to the Watchlist. If you’d like to be updated with upcoming episodes of a show you’re watching, add it to Watchlist.
The feature also looks at your viewing behaviour to give you smarter options. If you’re binge-watching a show, the next time you open your account, it will show you shows you haven’t watched yet over those that are on your Watchlist but haven’t seen yet. The more videos you watch on the streaming service, the more it can understand your choices and taste in order to personalize your Watchlist. Just click on the + sign or the “add to Watchlist” button.
The Watchlist feature is available for Hulu on mobile devices like Android phones and tablets, game consoles like PS3 and Roku players, connected TVs like Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, and of course Hulu.com. They are still working on getting this feature to other devices in the coming months.
