While Samsung has not officially come out with a press release about it, the presence of support pages on its website may have confirmed that the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be launching in a few weeks time at their pre-event at the Mobile World Congress. There is still not much information (except speculation) about the two devices, but fans of the OEM are already looking forward to the unveiling of the newest smartphone variants.

The Galaxy S6 is referred to as its SM-G920X product code while the S6 Edge is SM-G925X. Both models are expected to have a QHD Super AMOLED screen and run on Samsung’s 64-bit octacore Exynos 7420 processor. They are also both rumored to have 3GB RAM and an internal memory of 32GB.

There have also been rumors that the camera would have 16-megapixels and 4K recording capability. Another welcome piece of speculation is that the much-criticized TouchWiz custom software suite will be less intrusive, and will give way to the Android 5.0 Lollipop features. Or they might also be overhauling TouchWiz so that it can measure up to other OEMs and not be a source of annoyance for Samsung users.

The curved screen of the Edge is something that Samsung has exclusively offered (well, for now, at least). While it may look weird and unappealing for some, the technology that maximizes your device’s screen to use the curved edge that wraps around the screen is pretty neat. Let’s wait a few more days until the official announcement about these new Samsung products finally comes out.
