When we hear the word “chivalry”, that medieval term has somehow been equated to being a gentleman (in the modern sense of the word). In the Middle Ages, chivalry was usually about the correct and proper way of fighting. Well, there’s certainly lots of fighting in Broadsword: Age of Chivalry, a turn-based strategy game with graphics that can scale up to devices that are NVIDIA Tegra-powered.
This strategy game is free to download, and the free app includes two campaigns – where you either control the armies of France or England. In-app purchases add two more campaigns, for the hardcore RTS gamer in you. The game is full of medieval army units – knights, pikemen, archers, and even hero units with special abilities. The game, if you know your RTS games, is based on the Age of Chivalry source mod for PCs, with not a few gameplay modifications for touchscreen operation.
The real treat is when you play the game on a Tegra-powered device. Then you get bonus eyecandy – enhanced textures, dynamic shadows, ragdoll physics, and particle effects. Building explosions are articulated only when you are on a Tegra K1-powered device, such as the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet.
If you’re ready to get some RTS gaming on, be sure to check out the source link below and download the game. Even for non-Tegra devices, the game scales down its graphics so that the campaigns are still very much playable.
