This seems a bit weird but Microsoft is getting busy making more Android apps under the Microsoft Garage Project. It’s a community of developers, artists, investors, musicians, hackers, and artists that aims to to come together to share ideas and build new projects. A number of apps already resulted from the Garage. For one, there’s the Next Lock Screen which was recently updated with more personalization and weather status. Here’s a new one from the same guys: the Picturesque Lock Screen.
This Microsoft Garage project brings the Bing home page images to the Android device lock screen. This offers a new look for your Android phone with every shake or swipe to the right. Look at the lock screen and you’ll see your text messages and missed calls at one glance. Even without unlocking the phone, you can also search directly from the lock screen. To keep you updated with news, weather, and other important information, you can display them right on the lock screen.
The Picturesque Lock Screen shows notifications on screen where you can also make a quick call or send a quick reply. Beautiful Bing Homepage images will be shown on your lock screen daily. See the latest news, weather, and regional calendars from the Home screen. And to quickly take photos, you can easily access the camera and phone controls from the lock screen. From the lock screen, you can also change your volume, Bluetooth, WiFi, and brightness settings.
