There may be hundreds of Google Map-related apps available on the Google Play Store today but only a few can be considered as really helpful. The native Google Maps app will never be enough for those who want more information about a certain place or want to see photos first before going. For those who like to travel and explore the world only on their screens, the Field Trip could be a new mode of “traveling”. Discovering Google Maps doesn’t have to be boring because there are many apps available, offering different information, photos, and details that really matter.
The Field Trip app offers some of the coolest and most interesting things or establishments in a particular place. The app can tell you more details about a location: local history, best places to shop, latest places to eat, points of interest, and more areas to have fun. In other words, the app helps you plan a very memorable field trip.
App runs in the background. A card with details about a certain location will pop up when you are close to something or when you are somewhere interesting. No need to click because the card will pop up automatically. You can have the app read the information to you should you want to just listen to audio.
The design and user interface of the new Field Trip match the new Android 5.0 Lollipop. Previous bugs have been fixed and more content have been added. Obviously, we can expect improvements on speed and performance of the app.
