CES 2015 is arguably the biggest consumer tech show of the year, and it’s going to start rocking in Las Vegas in around a day or so. Archos, a device manufacturer known for their mid-tier and entry level devices, is hyping up their stint at CES 2015 with two new 4G devices with mid-tier prices but robust specs.

First up, the Archos 50 Diamond is a sleek and slim 4G smartphone that should deliver the goods at a price point under USD$300. The Archos Diamond features a 5-inch Full HD IPS display (1080p) powered by a 64-bit enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with big.LITTLE architecture – that’s 4 cores running at 1.7Ghz and 4 cores at 1.0Ghz. That’s not bad at all, paired with an Adreno 405 GPU chip and 2GB RAM. The new Archos phone will have dual SIM slots, and LTE connectivity.

The Archos 50 Diamond will have 16GB internal storage and an expansion microSD card slot for up to 128GB. All these combined with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, a 16MP/8MP camera combo and a robust 2,700mAh battery makes for a pretty strong proposition, don’t you think?

Up next is the Archos 80b Helium 4G tablet – available in handy 7-inch and 8-inch models, and also in the traditional 10.1-inch tablet size. These tablets boast of HD IPS displays (720p), Cat4 LTE connectivity, a MediaTek 1.7Ghz quad-core CPU, 8GB internal storage, microSD expansion up to 128GB, and Android 4.4.4 Kitkat all out of the box. With dual cameras for the odd selfie, a 3,600mAh battery, these tablets are priced competitively at lower than USD$230.

If you’re going to be at CES 2015 starting on Tuesday and you’re on the lookout for robust midrange devices, be sure to look out for these offerings from Archos.
