One of the things that many people love about Android devices is the ability to customize the device to suit their needs. An app has been updated called the Apex Launcher that promises to make customizing the homescreen of your Android smartphone or tablet a snap.
The app brings a customizable homescreen grid size and up to nine different homescreens. The dock is scrollable with up to seven icons per page and up to five pages. The home screen is infinitely scrollable and supports elastic scrolling as well. Different transition effects and the ability to hide elements like the search bar or dock are included.
The desktop can be locked to prevent accidental changes and settings can be backed up. There is a paid pro version of the app that brings unlimited drawer tabs and customizations. Dock swipe actions are featured in the pro version along with gestures and enhanced folder support.
The most recent update for the app brings a new UI using material design and various tweaks for Lollipop users. The app is 4.4MB in size and has as many as 10,000,000 installs. Android 4.0.3 or higher is required.
