Could it be possible that this low cost Android tablet is also a NICE low cost Android tablet? Allow Chris Davies to answer that question for you with a full rundown of the Advent Vega – whose sticker price is right aroud£249 ($395) including no less than NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 processor. Longer and narrower than an iPad, not quite as sturdy as the Galaxy Tab OR the iPad, but it costs around half the price! Check it out.
Advent Vega unboxing & hands-on:
[vms c245530c7a6ebef3753e]
First, the screen: 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 resolution display with a capacitive touchscreen, not so great on the viewing angles, bareness along the edges with missing set of dedicated home/menu/etc keys. No access to Android Market, no Flash, no native PDF or Office File viewer, wait, is there anything on this device? Sort of. You definitely get what you pay for. Hi,
Can anyone who own the Advent Vega comment on how it is? Is it slow, heavy, anything?
I have a forum with a section dedicated to the Advent Vega but I have never found anyone who has one to ask questions.
If you have one, please post some comments at http://www.tegra2tablets.com/
Thanks!
hi there, I own both ipad and vega. it is not slow or heavy. it is astonishingly fast. with a rom from modaco forum, it works very well. screen has an odd look compared to ipad but this wide rectangullar screen lets yo to hold it much easier and with your both hands. only downside isthat finding a case for it might be challenging.
hope this helps
