If you’re a huge fan of the surprisingly addictive Duck Dynasty reality series about the Robertson clan, then you’d probably support whatever product they come out with, even if you’re not a duck hunter at all. If you’ve always been curious as to what the duck calls actually do but live nowhere near ducks or ponds or the swam, then you can now understand it through a mobile game. Duck Commander: Duck Defense is a tower defense game where you can be any of the four Robertson men, out to defend their Louisiana land.
The Robertsons, Willie, Si, Phil, and Jase, have actually made their empire from Duck Commander, a brand of duck calls. In this Android game, you get to defend their territory as the “wildlife-turned-enemies” attempt to take over the different locales in Louisiana and you get to use the patented duck calls to do so. The game has 15 levels and locales set in actual places, and three different types of tower: duck blind, tree stand and ATV Garage. Each of the four Robertsons have a different duck call that would affect and defeat the enemy.
You also get to upgrade your towers in 40 different ways, including hunting dogs, duck decoys and lightning rods. These will help keep away wildlife including not just ducks, but squirrels, beavers, chipmunks, alligators, etc. Each level has three difficulty levels, but if you want to play endlessly, well there is an Endless Mode where you get to choose from three different mode maps as your enemies attack you endlessly.
Duck Dynasty may have run into a few controversies the past year or so, but it is still a pretty viable entertainment (and duck-hunting) franchise. So if you’re a fan, or would like to try a new tower defense game, you can download Duck Commander: Duck Defense from the Google Play Store for $1.99, with some in-app purchases available.
