It’s already been established that if you’re a serious mobile device user, it is necessary for you to have a power pack with you always. But out of all the brands out there, why should you choose to buy or invest in Reeljuice? If you keep losing or forgetting your cords and adapters, then this is the one for you.

What makes Reeljuice different from all other battery juice packs is that it’s the only one sporting a 48 inch industrial grade retractable charging cord, the technology which the developers have actually patented. The cord (and power bank of course) will supposedly survive “tens of thousands of cycles”, in case you’re the type who really needs a lot of juice on the go. And you don’t even need to bring a cord to charge the power bank since it has a folding USB and a 10 watt wall charger so you can power it up on the go. Don’t worry if you have an iOS device because apart from its micro USB, it also has a lightning adapter.

If Reeljuice is fully charged itself, it claims that it can power your smartphone up to 6 times. It also supposedly charges twice as much as the standard charger. It comes in two varieties; the Reeljuice 5 is smaller and with 4,800 mAh while the Reeljuice 10 has 10,400 mAh and is of course bigger in size. Based on the charging cycle of the iPhone 5, the Reeljuice 5 can power it up to 3 times while the Reeljuice can do it at 6 charges. Design-wise, it also looks pretty neat as it uses a modular design so you can easily separate the portable charger from the rapid charger.

The developers haven’t yet reached their target goal of $78,000, but they still have 33 days to go on their campaign and given that they just launched this month, they have a pretty good backing rate. If you feel like this is one battery juice pack you can’t live without, you can head on over to their Kickstarter page and back up this project. Shipment to investors is expected to start by April next year.
