More Android users in different locations are getting support for developer and merchant registration. This means registering as Google Wallet Merchant and Google Play Developer is easier now in countries like Venezuela, Oman, Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Qatar, and Puerto Rico among others.
Previously, the countries aforementioned have limited features but Google added more to the list so more people can take advantage of the Google Play Developer Registration and Google Wallet Merchant Registration.
Most locations in Google’s updated list support Developer Registration. Not all countries that allow registration for developers support Google Wallet merchants, at least, not yet. Countries that support both include Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
Developer’s default currency is based on the location of the Google Wallet Merchant account unless otherwise stated.
