As you may already well know, ALL major mobile carriers have have a Samsung Galaxy Tab for you to choose from already. Each of the following: Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile, have their own UNIQUE Tab for you to choose from. You’d expect their prices to be comparable, certainly the data plans and internet delivery to vary a bit, but how about the actual cases? If you’ve gotten your hands on more than one of these tablets at different carriers, you know that you’re in for a very different experience with each one. Two black, one white. Two flat, one textured. Choose your destiny!

Let’s talk about the price points here :

First, T-Mobile’s Smooth Black:
$399.99 (after instant and online discount) on a 2yr contract with
*$39.99/mo 5GB data OR
*$24.99/mo 200MB data
$599.99 no contract with
*$39.99/mo 5GB data OR
*$24.99/mo 200MB data (same as 2 year contract prices)

Next, Sprint’s Bright White:
$399.99 (after $50 instant savings) on a 2yr contract with new activation and
*$59.99/mo 5GB data OR
*$29.99/mo 2GB data

Finally, Verizon’s Dot Patterend Black:
$599.99 on a 2yr contract with or without contract and
*$50.00/mo 5GB data
*$35.00/mo 3GB data
*$20.00/mo 1GB data

Then remember also there’s also the AT&T version coming out on November 21 for $649.99 with pay-as-you-go, as well as a version coming from US Cellular coming out November 19 for $399 after rebate and a two years and “never have to sign another one” contract.

Then a word or two about the feel of each device with backs already confirmed:

First, T-Mobile’s Smooth Black, reviewed by Vincent Nguyen of SlashGear on November 14th, 2010, he reveals there to be basically no difference between it and Sprint’s smooth white back. How does the smooth white fare? Ask Chris Davies of SlashGear in his Smooth White Sprint review, on October 31st, 2010:

The back panel is smooth white plastic (some US versions will be black) while the front is black; both are reasonably slippery, which makes slotting the Tab into a pocket or bag straightforward, but does mean you need to keep a tight grip to avoid dropping it.

Then check out, Verizon’s Textured Black Back, words by Vincent Nguyen of SlashGear on November 15th, 2010:

The better changes, however, are in the Tab’s physical design. The hardware is still ostensibly the same – a 7.48 x 4.74 x 0.47 inch slate weighing 13.58 ounces – but Verizon has given their Tab a more textured back-panel which left us more confident gripping the tablet. The regular Galaxy Tab’s gloss finish is surprisingly slippery.

Which one will it be? While you decide, listen to this very inspirational song from the world’s hottest band KISS. I think you’ll find it very helpful. Also there’s a gallery of images below from our three reviews, take a look at those too to help your eyeballs.

  1. You have to have a data plan, the computers will not let them sell one from Verizon until it is in place (found out last night). You don’t have to sign a contract so you can pay 20.00 for one month then turn it off.
