The latest streaming addition for Chromecast has been announced, and this one is arriving just in time for the beginning of the 2014 Major League Baseball season. Simply put, MLB.TV subscribers will be able to stream to Chromecast.
Android users will need to look towards the MLB.com At Bat app, which is expected to be updated today. They will also need an MLB.TV Premium level subscription. Assuming you have the necessary subscription, you will then only need to tap the cast button within the MLB.com At Bat app to begin watching on the big screen.
The Premium level MLB.TV subscription will set you back $129.99 per year, or $24.99 on a monthly basis. And to clarify, this isn’t to be confused with the MLB.com At Bat subscription which goes for $19.99 per year (or $2.99 per month). Along with the ability to cast games, MLB.TV Premium level subscribers will get all the features associated with the MLB.com At Bat subscription and more.
Perks that come along with MLB.TV Premium include in-game highlights and stats, live game DVR controls, full game archives and more. Of course, perhaps the real perk here is the ability to watch every out-of-market regular season game as it happens.
The MLB.com At Bat app can be found using this Google Play Store link.
