ZTE has been offering teasers for the Nubia X6 smartphone, and while they have yet to offer an official announcement, they have recently shared details on when that will be happening. The announcement date is set for March 25th. That date may sound familiar to some, as that is the same day HTC will be announcing “The All New” One.
You do have to wonder why ZTE choose the same day, but aside from a bit of curiosity, the two announcements being on the same day likely won’t cause many issues. If any at all. You see, while HTC will be looking globally, the ZTE announcement will take place in Beijing and only cover the Chinese market. Also, while both events are set for March 25th, we have to factor in the difference for the two time zones.
Previous leaks for the Nubia X6 have shown the handset to support a wide variety of networks. We still aren’t expecting the handset to arrive outside of China, but that network support does hint at support for all three of the major Chinese carriers. For reference, the network support was said to include the following; LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, CDMA and GSM.
Earlier teasers direct from ZTE have confirmed features to include optical image stabilization (OIS) on the rear-camera, stereo speakers with Dolby DTS sound, and a “long” battery life with fast charging. There was also confirmation the handset would support wireless charging. Lastly, some of the rumors have touched on a 6-inch display, Snapdragon 801 processor and either a 13 or 16MP camera on the back.
