Nickelodeon has had well over a dozen apps available in the Play Store, and as of today, there is yet another. This latest is simply called “Nick” and it has arrived with full episode streaming. The app is free to download and also free to use, though, this isn’t one that is going to make the cord cutting crowd happy.

You see, you will need to login using the credentials from your cable provider in order to stream those full episodes. The Nick app has support for the standard group to include the following; AT&T U-verse, Atlantic Broadband, Bright House Networks, DIRECTV, EPB Fiber Optics, Optimum, RCN, Service Electric Cablevision, Suddenlink, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, WOW.

The app launches, and runs strictly in landscape mode. More important though, the Nick app offers everything from original videos to animated shorts, polls, and those previously mentioned full episodes. There is also some other fun stuff such as games and the “Do Not Touch” button you see in the screenshot below.

Of course, we had to touch it, multiple times. The buttons seems to run through a variety of different things, and in this case, we’ll refrain from offering a spoiler. You’ll have to press the button for yourself. Bottom line here, the Nick app seems to be setup decent, and if nothing else, could serve to entertain the kids a bit on those long car rides.

Lastly, the app is sitting at version 1.1 and noted as having support for Android 4.0 and up. The interesting part with that — it appears to be rather selective in terms of supported devices. For example, we couldn’t install Nick on a Moto X, or NVIDIA SHIELD, but could install it on a Nexus 5, Galaxy Note 3 and even the Omate TrueSmart watch.

The Nick app can be found in the Google Play Store.
