We’re here in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress, and as often happens at these types of events — that involves lots of running around, and also carrying lots of gear. We are all still sporting backpacks, however thanks to the SCOTTEVEST gear we are wearing, those backpacks are a bit easier to manage.

SCOTTEVEST likely isn’t an unknown name for the geekier audience. The company has been around for a while, and have a full line of products including pants, shorts, shirts, vests, and jackets. SCOTTEVEST provided the Android Community and SlashGear team with some gear for the show including some regular shirts and some polo style shirts, as well as an Ultimate Hoodie Microfleece.

We also are also testing out two of the new offerings — the Q.U.E.S.T. Vest and the SeV Pack Jacket. The Q.U.E.S.T. Vest is the monster in terms of pockets, sporting 42 in total. The Pack Jacket, while not reaching anywhere near 42, still has a more than comfortable 13. The Pack Jacket is also super lightweight, and very comfortable.

Nicely, these pockets are evenly distributed around the vest/jacket so having the pockets stuffed full doesn’t necessarily have you feeling bulky. The pockets are also different sized, which means there are specialty pockets for phones, tablets, and just about any other gear the gadget geek is going to have on hand. There are also some pockets with RFID blocking for carrying things such as a passport. Sitting below is a gallery with a few shots of the Q.U.E.S.T. Vest and Pack Jacket.

For a bit of a more in-depth look, make sure to check the two videos sitting below. The first is an unboxing of the gear we have on hand here in Barcelona (plus, a bunch more). The second is a bit of a closer look at the 42 pocket Q.U.E.S.T. Vest, which shows just how thorough the pocket selection actually is. And perhaps a bit more important for those who are skeptical — the video also shows how nicely the vest fits with the pockets loaded up.

Make sure to keep an eye on the MWC 2014 hub here on Android Community for more live coverage through the week, and also, we’ll likely have a bit more to say on SCOTTEVEST as we go through the week.

  2. Used to be a HUGE fan, got many, many SeV jackets, was featured on one of their brochures – until realized everything is made of shit – materials used are just crap. And don’t even get me started about workmanship. Shame, really – Scott is a great engineer.
