Qualcomm has rolled out the latest update for the Toq smartwatch. This one does add a new watchface, however there is also a bit more involved. The other aspect of the update deals with activity, though, it is listed as being a beta feature for now. Anyway, this is the v1.3.0 update and current Toq users can grab it as of today.
Beginning with the activity aspect of the update and we find the Activity Applet, and an Activity Clock. To clarify, the applet is the portion still listed in beta. This essentially tracks you throughout the day. Qualcomm has said the applet will monitor your activity and in return, will offer activity points over each 24-hour period.
Users will then be able to view those activity points using the Android app, or by using the new Activity Clock face. The app shows a history of your daily activity points, and the watchface will show the time, as well as your current activity points. Sounds like a decent alternative to a regular activity tracker, however we have yet to fully put this new feature to the test.
Otherwise, the other new addition was the “World Clock” style face. Qualcomm points out how this one will allow you to check the time and weather for your favorite cities. And lastly, the v1.3.0 update also brings the ability to select Celsius or Fahrenheit for temperature. The updated companion app for the Qualcomm Toq can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
