Motorola has just updated its Moto X support pages, revealing that an Android 4.4.2 update for T-Mobile compatible models is now almost ready for distribution. While the changes from the first Android 4.4 update last November may be small, early and frequent updates are always a welcome thing.
There are, of course, still some significant changes, as shown in Motorola’s rather terse release notes. Aside from your usual cornucopia of bug fixes from Android 4.4.2 itself, Motorola is also introducing some small new features and tweaks of its own.
There is new support for printing of photos and documents remotely via WiFi, Bluetooth, or Google Cloud Print and similar cloud services. The release also includes fixes in battery life which users have seen drastically reduced since the rollout of Android 4.4. And finally, a bug that delayed email syncing with Exchange and services like it has also been addressed.
No exact date has been given when the Android 4.4.2 update will roll out, but it should start soon and in waves. Those who haven’t received notification of the update can manually check if its is already available for them via the “About phone” section of the Settings app. Once the update has been downloaded and installed successfully, the device firmware will be updated to version 161.44.25.

When i woke up this morning about 6am, my T-Mobile Moto X had notified me of the newest update, which i downloaded and applied.
I checked for the update last night and it was there. Downloaded and installed. Done deal. I have only had my moto x for a week, so far loving it, but don’t know about battery life or lack thereof. I have been off charger since 6:00 AM its now 9:45 and I am at 91 percent, light usage.
