There are plenty of options when it comes to launcher apps, but even with that being said, there are a few that seem to stick around as crowd favorites. One of those happens to be Apex Launcher, and in a bit of good news for users — there has been a recent update. Developer Android Does has released version 2.3.0 which comes with a few new features and a few bug fixes.
Beginning first with the bug fixes, those touch on the following issues; app/shortcut picker style, indicator animation, and notification action/gesture on TouchWiz. This update also brought some updated translations and added an icon label shadow in the drawer. With details on the bug fixes and other small changes out of the way, we can now shift to the two new additions.
Android Does has said this most recent update will allow users to sort apps in the drawer. One catch with the sorting though, this option will only be available for Apex Launcher Pro users. For reference, Apex Launcher is available for free, with a Pro version selling for $3.99. The remaining change this time around dealt with notifications.
The changelog for Apex Launcher mentions support for Apex Notifier v2.0. Basically, Apex Notifier provides details on everything from missed calls and unread SMS to calendar appointments, Gmail, battery level, and many more. The v2.0 update also added quite a bit more including (but not limited to) Hangouts, WhatsApp, stock email on Kit Kat, and improved DashClock support.
