Reports are surfacing that Electronic Arts has acquired Chillingo, the developer of the insanely popular mobile application Angry Birds, has been purchased for $20 million cash.
In a conversation with Reuters, an EA spokesperson says:
“By acquiring Chillingo, EA Mobile is increasing its market leadership on the Apple Platform as well as reaffirming its position as the world’s leading wireless entertainment publisher.”
Now while we know it’s not Apple-specific we can definitely see some great changes to Angry Birds and future games thanks to EA.
