Google Play Music All Access customers are reporting issues with playback on some web interfaces. While the issue is not widespread, it is affecting enough customers to get our attention. Oddly enough, the Android app seems to work just fine.
Users are reporting that playback simply gives them the spinning arrow seen when a song is loading or buffering, and never starts. Refreshed browsers don’t seem to help much, and TNW is reporting it is occurring on Chrome and Safari for Mac.
The issue is being seen across platforms, with many Chrome OS and Windows users noting the issue as well. In regard to Chrome OS, the ARM Samsung Chromebook — you know, the best selling Chromebook ever — seems to be having a flat-out denial of service, with users reporting it simply won’t work at all now.
The Android app, by comparison, seems to work just fine. I can report that All Access works famously on a Nexus 4 and Chromebook Pixel, with the only issues due to poor signal strength while on the go. We’ve reached out to Google for comment, and will update this post when we get word on what’s going on.
Google Play Music All Access (is it still really called that?!?!) is not working for me on the web app. This is both OSX Mountain Lion and Windows 8 on Opera, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Android app is working flawlessly. I am a US Google Music subscriber but currently in Spain. This has never been an issue previously but I wonder if it could be a factor.
P.S. Hey Google, Even MS smartened up to the fact the Microsoft Windows Phone Mobile Seven Series was a terribly complicated name for a software product. Maybe GPMAA can get shortened too?
Has always had issues playing on my LG Optimus G… after numerous emails back and forth and many discussions on several forums, no fix!
not working on my cpu. Working indeed on my phone.
Not working for me on any device, including both my Nexus 4 and my Eee Pad TF201.
I cleared my browser cache and cookies. Worked after that.
I’m having big problems with All Access.. oh wait, I’m in Canada, nevermind 😉
Anyone find the cause of the problem?
I am also having this problem. On chromebook samsung series 5 550 the music will play for half a second and stop, then not play. Google should really address this problem or refund us for the subscription which at this point is completely useless to me.
In settings > music lab: you can switch to html 5 (instead of flash) and this helps me…
Not working for me in the UK on Android phone or tablet! Had intermittent issues via web too.
Grrrrr!
