At the end of September, Sony Ericsson annouced the LiveView which is an iPod nano type display that can be worn as a watch or clipped onto clothes. Sony Ericsson showed off some of the basic features before, such as being able to read text messages, emails, and open some apps, but they didn’t announce the launch date or any pricing info.
A French gadget blog had some recent time to play with the LiveView at a unnamed trade show and left with some extra goodies, the price and launch date. The launch date is sometime in November. The price is a €69, which turns out to be somewhere around 100$ depending on the exchange rate at the time of the launch date. I must say that it has the potential to be a pretty nifty device with the right integration and apps, but $100 is a little much for an accessory in my view.
