Manufacturers have sometimes put out specially designed versions of their devices and HTC is not making an exception with its limited edition HTC One Mini, sporting designs from renowned designer David Koma. The “HTC One Mini x David Koma” feature’s the British fashion designer’s artistic sensibilities and inspiration for his upcoming collection to be shown during Fashion Week.
To those of us unfamiliar with the fashion world, David Koma’s designs have been worn by stars such Beyonce, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga and has continually held one of most anticipated shows at the bi-annual London Fashion Week. Touted as one of Britain’s “ChangeMakers”, HTC thought it fitting to collaborate with Koma on a daring design, in line with the company’s “Here’s To Change” marketing campaign.
The result is two unique designs for the HTC One Mini, reflecting Koma’s interpretation of the theme “Change”. The first design incorporates curves and organic patterns, taking inspiration from vinyl records and music. The second features a theme taken from Japanese archery, representing Koma’s own change from his old season’s design to his current work.
The HTC One Mini x David Koma is, however, not for sale. A limited number of units are available and will be given away to 10 lucky winners of a design contest being held by HTC UK. Better join quickly if you’re interested, as the competition closes on September 22.
