If you’re like us, you probably use TuneIn Radio quite a bit for all your listening needs. Where else are you going to get your fix of Taylor Swift and .Fun singing their little hearts out? Well, today TuneIn Radio received a rather small update that should make all you Android 4.3 users happy. We know this isn’t for everyone, but it’s a biggie.
Ever since Android 4.3 Jelly Bean was rolled out a few weeks ago for the Nexus 4, both Nexus 7’s, the Nexus 10 and a few other devices, we’ve been hearing reports of various bugs with music and video apps. Archos Video Player (and many others) have issues, and TuneIn Radio was also suffering due to a few of the small changes in code.
Today TuneIn Radio issued an update simple stating they fixed some bugs to improve the experience, and that’s quite true. For those with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean there’s been persistent notification issues, where there was always a pesky notification up top no matter what, even when you’re done listening to tunes. That’s been solved.
Like with most updates, they’ve probably fixed a slew of minor issues, but we’re not seeing anything in a changelog or hearing anything from the comments or tips. Well, aside from this 4.3 bug that many have been experiencing. We can’t really call it a “bug” since it’s a new Android feature to alert the user of apps always running in the background. So whatever TuneIn did, they’ve solved the notification, or their app from always running and sucking down your battery. Get it from the link below, or just do what I did, switch to Google Music All Access.
