Well, if you’re a fan of Target stores, or maybe you just don’t happen to have a Walmart close by and Target’s your only choice, you’ll be happy to know that selecting your next object to buy just got a little easier. Deciding against going with a full press release or anything of the sort, Target has officially released an application of their own into the Android Market. Oh, and it’s available right now.

As you might imagine, the application will let you look up stock, see if the store nearest you has what you’re looking for, and check out pricing. It will also give you directions to the nearest Target, if you find yourself in an area you’ve never been, and you have to get pick up something right then. A notable feature: it will actually tell you where to go, the exact aisle in the particular store, to get what you’re looking for. Sure, it’s a little thing, but it’s the little things in life, right?

Other features include a barcode scanner, which works specifically for Target, and won’t show you comparison prices for other retail locations around you. So, the app is free, and you can get it right now. It may not be the biggest app to release this week, but hey, it’s a Friday — get ready to enjoy your long weekend. Maybe even find something at Target to make it enjoyable.
