Today Verizon and Motorola have officially announced when we’ll be seeing their new DROID RAZR HD smartphone arrive on Big Red. With the international RAZR HD already available in Canada, it was only a matter of time before Verizon released a statement. Both the Motorola DROID RAZR HD, and RAZR MAXX HD will be available online and in stores starting October 18th.
Just a few days ago we reported the 18th would be the date they arrive in the US, but now it’s official right from Verizon themselves. Just moments ago they confirmed the date, and we’ll be seeing the RAZR HD arrive for $199, while the long lasting DROID RAZR MAXX HD will be $299 for that massive battery under the hood.
Interestingly enough, the DROID RAZR HD will come with 16GB of storage only and be offered in black or white for the $199 price. Then Motorola and Verizon will be offering the MAXX HD with 32GB of storage and it will only be available in black. So the increase in price gets you additional storage, and longer battery life. I’m sure a few would love to have the option, but I’d rather just get the MAXX myself.
In case you’ve forgotten what that will get you the DROID RAZR HD has some great specs. a 4.7-inch AMOLED display, 1GB of RAM, 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 8 megapixel camera, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and of course that Kevlar coating for durability. Will you be picking up the DROID RAZR HD or MAXX HD on the 18th, or will you wait it out for the Galaxy Note II?

This thing is basically a less powerful Galaxy S3……and why the hell would you want to get this when you could have 2 GB of ram? Galaxy S3 is the phone to get, this device is a flop in the making…however the HD Maxx Razr does have that awesome battery life, that might make it worth it over the Galaxy S3
+1
Kevlar, Corning Gorilla Glass, Smart Actions, Nanocoating for water proof. S3 doesn’t have any of that.
