August 12th, the Motorola Droid 2 is getting launched. That’s this Thursday, for the record (and if you weren’t around a calendar). With that being said, it looks like Best Buy have gone ahead and ruined the whole pricing story, too, and pointed out that the Droid 2 will be available there, for $199 on a new, two-year contract. That’s excluding the mail-in rebate, that you’ll have to pay at a Verizon corporate store.
If you don’t want to add a line, or get a new line, you can just buy the device out right, as well. That’s right, they also listed their full retail price. That will run you $599. Remember: August 12th. As for Verizon inventory, apparently that’s begun to get stocked as well. Just in time, if you ask us.
