A year ago, we were talking about how paranoid people have become when it comes to online security and all that because of Edward Snowden and all the hacking and leaking going on. More than a year later, we’re still in the same condition, probably even more. But the only thing that has changed now is that the 4th chapter in the critically-acclaimed and timely game Republique is now available for Android devices.
If you’re not familiar yet with this game, Republique is a strategy game where you are tasked to help out a girl named Hope, who seems to be trapped in a totalitarian state. You need to guide her as she tries to escape from the government’s elaborate surveillance network. The fourth episode, called God’s Acre, you and Hope will find yourselves going beyond the underground facility and into a gothic graveyard.
The great thing about it? You have no weapons other than your “sheer wit” as you maneuver around this world again and try to solve the encrypted puzzles by hacking into the system, all while trying to avoid detection by the “deranged groundskeeper”, who is a nemesis-style enemy. There are also five new environments, two new interactive puzzles, and several new characters that will reveal more about the world you’ve been living in.
If you haven’t yet played any of the République games, now is your chance to get a season pass. Get all four episodes of the game for just $24.99. You can also buy just this new episode for $4.99. It is now available on the Google Play Store.
