There are different conditions in the game and there are several obstacles you need to avoid and victory goals to achieve. In campaign mode, you can learn about the development of the Gold Rush straight from those mining camps to the cities.
There’s also the Sandbox mode where you need to look at a map that’s been generated for your location based on geography, starting lot size, availability of resource, and precipation. Within the game, you will see the old west town that’s been designed based on California’s Gold Country. More towns and cities can be built so player is presented with more challenges in simulation gameplay.
