Usually, when you use the exclamation, “Oh no!”, it’s for something fairly unpleasant. But in this case, if you like logic puzzle games, then it will be an utterance of joy every time you solve one because it means you might be running out of games to play. The game is, in fact, called 0h n0, and this is an accompaniment game to last year’s 0h h1, another brain teaser to both frustrate and excite you, if you like this sort of thing.
It might look a little similar to Sudoku, but 0h n0 is actually based on a different kind of binary-determination logic puzzle called Kuromasu, (just like 0h h1 is based on Takuzu, another kind of Japanese logic game) but instead of numbers, you have colors. The developer says there are just three basic rules. First, the blue dots/circles can see others in their own row or column. Second, it also tells you how many of these dots there are. Third, the red dots are blocking the blues’ view.
The aim of the game is to completely the grid without guessing. You just need to tap a tile to change its color to blue or red, depending on what you need. There are four different grid sizes (5×5, 6×6, 7×7, 8×8) for you to choose from, depending on what your mood is for today, whether you’re up for the more challenging grids or just the basic brain teasing ones. There is no time limit pressure for you to finish the grid, just do it in your own Zen mode style.
Just like 0h h1, 0h n0 is absolutely free, without any ads, in-app purchases, locked features or social media requirements. You can download it from the Google Play Store and start puzzling away.
