Time-lapse videos used to be a thing of wonderment for the viewer as it must take such time and effort to produce. Well now that we have smartphones and apps to help us make them, it doesn’t mean they’re any less entertaining to watch. Microsoft Hyperlapse Mobile is one such app that helps you take stable and smooth time-lapse videos, and now the latest update brings a few more major/minor features that will make your hyper lapses better.

First of all, you will now be able to save your hyper lapses in 1080p resolution. Of course not all devices will be able to play videos in that resolution, but newer smartphones can (and should) and so that’s a good feature to have. Another update is that these time-lapse videos can now be saved on an SD card instead of just in the internal storage, provided your device of course supports microSD storage. This is good for those that have limited built-in space and a bigger storage in their cards.

The app also now clarifies how to save the original video with stabilization in this new update. Plus, if you have a Nexus 5x, you’ll be glad to know that they have now fixed the orientation issues from the previous version. This may not be a lot of changes, but hey, any update is better than no update at all.

You can check if the update has rolled out to you by visiting its Google Play page. Otherwise, if you haven’t tried it out yet, you can get the Microsoft Hyerlapse Mobile app for free.
