There’s not been much of anything in the way of news for the Samsung Galaxy Player (YP-G50) since it’s first being announced at the IFA. Now they’ve got a super lovely shiny new video! This will be the first media player powered on Android OS, and sources say it’ll be released quite soon, more than likely within a month.
YP-G50 runs on Android 2.1 OS and features 3.2-inch screen, microSD card slot, GPS, SoundAlive, 2MP camera, DLNA, Wi-Fi, 8 or 16GB internal memory, DivX support and FM Radio. Watch the video to see all this everloving magic in motion.

Samsung doesn’t seem to hurry with introducing this player on the market. Why is that? Of course, it seems like a good (and I hope cheaper option) for iPod Touch. In fact, really nice that is has Micro-SD slot for extending memory – it gives away opportunity to put more music and video files without any problems, and you don’t need to use any applications for that!
I was thinking exactly the same that are not really hurrying to launch iPod touch killer or something like this! At the beginning of January they will introduce their GB1 player – a Samsung Galaxy S but without cellphone module. Seem like a ncie beginning, but they should hurry with entering the market with it if it is THAT good as people say))) Time is money!))
The size of the screen leaves much to be desired – it could be 4 inches! With 16 mln colors it is absolutely not enough compare to its screen resolution. So far it seems like a nice new pmp with all functions imaginable, including Wi-Fi and camera! I am definitely interested in it. its just a first player on Android, I am sure this year will see lots of them!)) And Samsung is going to lead this trend in consumer electronics)
