Just this week Verizon’s update sheet, which revealed upcoming releases, let us know that the Continuum and Citrus were definitely coming to the carrier soon. Well now, according to a tip to Phone Arena, the Samsung Continuum, Zeal, and Motorola CITRUS will be hitting the network by month’s end.
The CITRUS which is manufactured from 25% post-consumer plastic will be a simple Android 2.1-based device with a 3” screen, 3MP camera, WiFi, EVDO, Bluetooth, and 2GB microSD storage. Advertised as a starter Android phone this will definitely be a feasible option for people new to the platform, or who do not need all of the extensive features a smartphone has to offer.
Of most interest is the Samsung Continuum i400, which is the latest Galaxy S device, sporting a 1GHz Hummingbird processor as well as Android 2.2. Featuring a 3.4” 480×800 WVGA Super AMOLED display with an additional 1.8” display lining the bottom for alerts and basic navigation. Also sporting a 5MP camera with LED Flash and autofocus, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 2GB of internal memory with 8BG micro SDHC card pre-installed this is definitely a well-rounded powerful option for anyone looking for a great Android device.
