If you’ve been using Samsung‘s S Health app to keep track of your fitness activities and other health-related activities, now you’ll be able to update it easily as the OEM has decided to uncouple the app from its own Galaxy Apps Store. You can now also find it on the Google Play Store as well so that any new versions that they will release will find its way faster to your smartphone.

This doesn’t mean that the S Health app will be available for anyone that has an Android smartphone. It will still only work with selected Samsung Galaxy devices and your smartphone should have Android 5.0 Lollipop or higher. If you have an older smartphone and you’ve just recently updated to the latest version of Android, then you’ll be able to enjoy the S Health version that Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users have, which has been redesigned and has a new user interface.

In case you’re still not using S Health yet, it is an app that you can use in order to keep track of the steps you take everyday, your heart rate, how many hours you sleep, how many calories you intake everyday, and even your stress levels. You can set health and fitness targets and use the app to help you achieve that goal with management and tracking tools.

If you have a Samsung Galaxy device with Android 5.0, head on over to the Google Play Store to download S Health. This would work better if you also have a wearable/smartwatch to help you track your activities better, but it can also function on its own.
