I have seen my share of designer gadgets over the years. There were several designer smartphones on the market before. This is the first designer Android tablet I have seen though. The tablet comes to us by designer Pierre Cardin. I haven’t heard that name in ten years. The designer has a new tablet with a 7-inch screen that has just launched.
The tablet is called the Pierre Cardin PC-7006 and gets power from a Samsung Cortex A8 processor running at 1GHz. The tablet comes with 512MB of RAM and has 4GB of internal storage. The tablet also has a microSD card slot for memory expansion with up to 16GB of more storage space. The PC-7006 will support 3G and WiFi as well.
To get the 3G support you do have to buy a separate 3G dongle. Other features include a 1.3MP camera, mini USB port, and a HDMI output. The little tablet measures 195 x 123 x 14mm and weighs 520g. The tablet also comes with a branded case and a gift box. The screen has a resolution of 800 x 480 and the OS the tablet runs Android 2.2. The battery is a 4400mAh unit.

Why is it that “designer” gadgets always have outdated specs?
You know? If I were a designer designing a gadget I’d tell them not only will it look good but I want it to have the latest and greatest!
