It is always easy to share or upload photos online to show others but there will always come a time when you want to give out a physical copy, especially to those without social networking accounts. In that case, LG has got you covered with its next generation of pocket-sized photo printers, the Pocket Photo 2.0.
Compared to the earlier models, the new photo printer is slimmer, by around 4 mm. Despite that, it is still able to give a printout with a 313 dpi (dots per inch) quality. Of course, with a portable size such as this, the device is limited to printing pictures at 2×3 inches only. There is also no need to worry about spilling or leaking ink, as the device utilizes ZINK inkless printing technology. All you have to do is to make sure you have enough photo sheets and battery charge in the Pocket Photo.
Mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets can connect with the printer via NFC or Bluetooth. But more than just simply printing out pretty pictures, the accompanying free editing app will let users tweak up photos a bit before sending them out to be printed. There is even a feature that lets one embed QR codes into photos to make things more interesting. The printer supports any Android or iOS device.
The Pocket Photo 2.0 also looks good even, something you won’t be ashamed of when you take it out of your pocket or bag. It will come in three color choices of pink, jewel white, and lime yellow. It is currently available in China but will only hit international markets next year. Watch out for these portable printers at LG’s booth if you happen to pass by CES 2014 in Las Vegas next month.
