If you have ever had to cycle your smartphones or tablets around because you only have one USB wall charger or a single available USB port on your notebook, we feel your pain. You try to get enough power in each device that you can use them all and often you end up without enough power in any of them for what you need to do.

A new product called InfiniteUSB will end all that manual cycling of devices for a single charge port. InfiniteUSB is a new type of USB charging cable that has ends that are able to stack like nesting dolls into the back of the connector from the USB cable in front of it.

That means that you can stack as many USB devices as you need to charge into a single USB port on a computer or USB charger in the wall. Since the backside of each of the InfiniteUSB cables has a normal USB port, you can also plug factory USB cables into the back of the InfiniteUSB cables if needed.

InfiniteUSB cables are available with microUSB, Lightning, and Female USB charging ends. The project is on Kickstarter now seeking $10,000 and has raised around $10,800 with 33 days to go at the time of writing. You can get a single cable for $10 or more while early bird supplies last with shipping expected to happen June 15.

  1. No one ever thought about the USB port on the computer getting overloaded?

If you present data connection to your tablet, it will likely charge at 0.5A, which is usually less that what it uses, so it will slow the drain but not charge it. If you don’t use your tablet and just let it charge, it week take about 10 hours to charge about 50%of most tablets’ battery.

Not to mention the highest most any notebook can put out is 2.1A…. You are not going to do a whole lot of charging with it.

    • You thinking limited, thats the specs for USB 2.0. Usb 3.0 can pump out up to 3 amps. most devices now have the ability to detect whether or not a port can support more.
