If you are a user of Gmail, you might want to check out a new beta that is on the Chrome webstore called Dropbox for Gmail Beta. The beta is designed to allow you to send and preview Dropbox files and links without having to exit the Gmail window to do so.
If you are a heavy user of Dropbox and Gmail, this new app will certainly help save you time since you won’t have to jump around between windows to view and work with your files. The Chrome extension is available to download now at no cost.
Once installed you get a Dropbox button added to Gmail Compose. With that button, sharing Dropbox links via email and saving them becomes an easier task. Users get quick access to important files with the Recent Files tab. The extension also adds a search tool that makes it easy to find the information you need to send.
Another nice feature of the extension is that it allows you to see rich previews of Dropbox links. You can also use the links to download the Dropbox files just as you would with normal attachments. The extension is available to download now.

PSA: it doesn’t support Inbox.
This is really weird, why would Google add Dropbox support to Gmail, a competitor, instead of using Google Drive for this?
Unless, of course, they are going to buy Dropbox?!?
