Cricket Wireless has announced a new calling plan for customers that it claims to offer the most value out there. The plan is called the All In plan and it offers users 2.5GB of high-speed data and unlimited nationwide calling and text for $35 monthly after a $5 autopay credit. That monthly amount include all taxes and fees.

Cricket claims to have more 4G LTE coverage around the country than T-Mobile, Metro-PCS, Sprint, Boost, and Virgin. For a limited time starting this month, Cricket is also offering a new plan with 20GB of high-speed data and unlimited talk and text with a free month of service for new Cricket customers.

The sale also includes discounted 4G and LTE smartphones for a limited time. The discounted phones include the Nokia Lumia 635, which is free after a mail-in rebate. That phone has a 4.5-inch clear black display and thousands of Windows apps available.

Cricket Wireless claims that its Advanced Plan gives customers 15GB more data than the similarly priced plan from T-Mobile while offering wider LTE coverage. Other plans from Cricket also have more data for a limited time with the $45 plan offering 5GB of data. The $55 monthly plan normally includes 10GB of data. It’s unclear how long the limited time for the 20GB offering is.

  1. Helpful info but doesn’t diminish how good of a deal this is. Especially since T-Mobile doesn’t have as much coverage as AT&T.

  2. What do you do on a cell phone that 8mbps doesn’t cover? It’s enough to stream full HD movies. I have cricket and love the service at a fraction of the cost of similar service on AT&T and Verizon.

  3. Awesome job by Cricket. I had been paying $40/month for 2.5 gb through Boost Mobile after my bill had gone through the “shrinkage” phase from $55 down to $40. While Boost was an ok value service, I thought that the dead zones and slow speeds (4g was really not that good) were kind of annoying. After I missed out on the Black Friday sales for the Galaxy SIII that Boost was offering, I stumbled upon Cricket’s sale (extended an extra day or two) on the Galaxy SIV – at the same price as Boost’s SIII after rebate! I switched then and there and haven’t looked back.

Oh, did I mention that Cricket’s service was only $35 (rather than $40), and has been better in both reception and 4g speeds? True, I was getting only 1 gb of data/month, but that was enough for me most months. With today’s bump up to 2.5 gb, I’m getting the same plan as I was with Boost but with a BETTER phone and BETTER reception and BETTER 4g speeds. Awesome!

  4. At 8 Mbps its enough for most if not all tasks on a phone today. It’s LTE data so all the latency and low power benefits of LTE still apply. I’d rather have 8 Mbps everywhere even inside buildings rather than 50mbps on speedtest outside in limited places.

  5. Its not about whether it’s a good deal or if its not fast enough. Its about saying the words “4g LTE”. It makes comparing unfair. I use cricket, its a great deal and great coverage. I just think they should be required to say ” High Speed HSPA+ data” or something more appropriate. You look at poor tmobile, they have to say “HSPA+”. So when you compare T-Mobile prepaid and Cricket, you would assume Cricket is faster, however you can easily get 14 Mbps on HSPA+. I could see people switch to Cricket because they have “LTE” on their phones, but they won’t be getting any faster service.

  6. I have Cricket, and I love it! It SHOULD be noted that they do throttle your 4GLTE to 8mbps. (I’ve tested it myself.) However, I live in a rural area, and I can’t get much higher than that at my house anyway. (And, I could never even GET 4G to work through Straight Talk… And T-Mobile gets NO coverage at my house.)

I just got a text message from cricket today, telling me about the new 20GB plan for the same price as my current 10GB plan. I was just about to switch when I found this article! I thought I would let you guys know that (according to my text), the new 20GB offering lasts until April 9th, 2015.
