The ASUS Transformer Pad TF701T should soon be available for purchase in the US market. In fact, it looks like some pre-orders have already begun showing up. ASUS has yet to fully detail the US availability, however similar to previous model tablets, this one should hit a variety of retailers. For now though, the tablet has been spotted with ExcaliberPC.
The listings do not yet have an estimated shipping date, however they have been priced. The Transformer Pad TF701T sits at $449 for the tablet only and at $599 for a tablet and keyboard combo package. This is for the 32GB model and those grabbing the tablet only option, you can always grab a keyboard later. ExcaliberPC has the keyboard priced at $149.
Pricing aside, the specs for this one begin with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and include a 10.1-inch display at 2560 x 1600 along with a quad-core 1.9GHz Tegra 4 processor. Users can also expect to find 2GB of RAM, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0+EDR as well as a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.
The tablet also has Miracast support along with the SonicMaster technology we often see on ASUS products. Remaining goodies include microHDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot with sport for cards up to 128GB in size. As for the keyboard, that also throws in an additional USB 3.0 port and SD card reader — not to mention, some additional battery life.
ASUS touts the tablet as having 13 hours worth of battery and the keyboard dock is said to add in an additional 4 hours. All said and done, the Transformer Pad TF701T appears to be a tablet with a solid set of specs. And otherwise, there is also a 64GB model, however that has yet to be priced.

Sure, looks good, but after the fiasco of owning an incredibly faulty TF201 that Asus has pretty much ignored 9 months after launch (including severe I/O issues), I’ll never buy another Asus product. I am loyal to brands that show loyalty to their customers.
