Android Pay has official arrived in Asia. After launching in the United Kingdom, Google has finally made its mobile payment service ready for all shoppers in Singapore. It’s the first country in the region to receive it, allowing Singaporeans to enjoy cashless shopping. With a single tap on payment terminals in stores, you can pay for items and finish a transaction.

Once payment is received, a notification will be sent to the Android phone including the amount and when you’ve recently shopped. All you need is an Android device with NFC connectivity and at least KitKat 4.4 to get Android Pay and start shopping. It’s safe and secure because even if device is stolen. Just make sure you lock the phone using an Android Device Manager to delete your information or set a new password.

Google has partnered with Visa and MasterCard to allow different cards to work with Android Pay. In Singapore, most credit and debit cards from the following banks are supported: Standard Chartered Bank, POSB, OCBC Bank, UOB, and DBS. You’re not limited to only one card as you can add multiple cards to your Android Pay account.

If you’re addicted to special promos, loyalty rewards cards, or gift cards, you can also add them to automatically earn points whenever you use Android Pay in a certain store. Before 2016 ends, Android Pay will also be accepted by Zalora, Uber, Shoppe, Singapore Airlines, Grab, and Deliveroo.
