Alcatel is bringing two tablets to the world of Android! Their POP 7 and POP 8 bring the same exciting color scheme as the POP C9 we told you about earlier, but in a larger form factor. As you may have guessed from the name, the two offerings will be 7-inch and 8-inch devices.
We know you’re interested in specs, so we’ll give them to you. Both are pretty decent mid-range tablets, and will be offered with cellular connectivity.
The POP 7:
- 7-inch TFT WSVGA Display, 1024 x 600 pixels
- Android 4.2
- 1.3 GHz Dual-core processor
- Front-facing 0.3MP camera
- Rear-facing 2MP shooter, video capture at 720p
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB Memory
- MicroSD up to 32GB
- 3240 mAh battery
The POP 8:
- 8-inch IPD Display, 1280 x 800 pixels
- Android 4.2
- 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor
- Front-facing 0.3MP camera
- Rear-facing 2MP shooter
- 1GB RAM
- 4GB Memory
- MicroSD up to 32GB
Both will come with case accessories, a magnetic flip cover and snap case. Chief Marketing Officer for Alcatel OneTouch Dan Dery said “The POP 7 and POP 8 are great first steps in our product alignment for smartphones and tablets. The unique characteristics of the POP series are fun and colorful and offering a smart but simple user experience.”
