Two years after the game debuted on iOS devices, Age of Booty: Tactics is finally now available to download and play on Android devices. This game is actually an off-shoot of the real-time strategy game Age of Booty for game platforms like Xbox Live Arcade. This mobile, free-to-play version is more of a turn-based and card-based system, still featuring pirates, loot, and the titular booty of course. And it is also challenging and fun in its own way.
In Age of Booty: Tactics, you want to become the alpha pirate of course and you will be able to do it by playing the right nautical units to crush other pirates laying claim to the title. But to add a little randomness in the gameplay, you get a card-based system in order to make it more challenging. You will also be able to upgrade your fleet and combine captains, ships, and yes, even curses.
You can choose to play in a single-player mode and in the process, unlock more captains for use later on. Or you can also play against your friends or random strangers online in order to climb the Pirate Leaderboard. The developers of the Android version tried to make up for the delay by adding new stuff exclusive for the platform, like 8 new playable captains, 3 new ship classes, and new multiplayer and single player maps.
