Acer was one of the more popular names in the netbook market for a long time with its Aspire One machines that sold well. When one of the more popular names in the netbook market starts talking about phasing out netbooks the nails are being hammered into coffins.
Acer is reportedly readying some cool tablets running Sandy Bridge processors for the market and according to TechRadar; the phase out of netbooks is underway at Acer. The tablets will runs Android 3.0 most likely and have screens in the 7-inch and 10-inch range.
Acer’s Lu Bing-hsian has stated that he tablets will be faster than laptops with windows onboard and will run quad-core processors. At this point, there is no official time frame for the tablets to land.
