If you're at all excited about Flipboard making a long-overdue appearance on Android, odds are pretty good that you've already tried out the APK ripped from the Galaxy S III. But soon enough more Android users will be able to get in on the action. There's a lot of choices for cloud music out there, and as promised, Samsung is throwing its hat into the ring. Google+ app gets a visual refresh and new features
The Google+ team seems to be finished for iOS for the moment, hand has once again turned its attention on the Android faithful. The native asocial networking app gets a major facelift on Android today, incorporating a new UI that's very heavy on images - even allowing you to download them directly from posts, as in a web browser. Unfortunately, the long-awaited tablet app is nowhere to be seen.

CyanogenMod 9 music player available now
Fans of custom ROMs may already know that there's a rewritten version of the standard Android music app coming to CyanogenMod 9. Well, the wait's over, and you can download an alpha version of "Apollo" now. Click here for the APK file - you don't even have to be rooted, just install it via the standard non-Market method. Unfortunately, you still need an ICS device to use it.

Facebook shows off App Center: its own social app gallery
Facebook apps. Android apps. Web apps. Apparently there just aren't enough apps to go around, so Facebook decided to cram as many as it could into its own app. (Que Xzibit meme photos now.) The social networking giant is planning a major update both its web platform and its Android and iOS apps to put other apps that feature Facebook integration on display.

SiriusXM update adds 5 hour music buffer
I was a subscriber to the original XM Radio back in the day, and while it was certainly worlds away from terrestrial radio service, I was still bugged by gaps in playback when going under bridges or in parking garages and by the lack of a CD-style rewind button. 4G connections have taken care of the former issue, and a new app update seems to have addressed the latter. The latest update to the SiriusXM Internet Radio app adds an incredible 5-hour music or talk buffer for most of the channels that the service offers.

Spotify’s new Android app looks fresh, we go hands-on
Today Spotify announced their impressive brand new music streaming app for Android. Since first released last year in the US I've been patiently waiting for them to update the application, and today they've done that and more. Spotify didn't just update their app, they've completely redesigned it from top to bottom and it now feels part of the Android 4.0 ICS family with the Holo theme and more. If you're a fan of Spotify or have been considering it, you'll want to stay tuned for my hands-on video.
